A rare and relatively unknown noble grape, St Laurent is gaining popularity. It is widely grown in Austria but rarely exported and generally unavailable at the the LCBO. We were fortunate to harvest the final vintage of St. Laurent from the Velo Vineyard, before the vineyard was tragically torn up to help sell the property to a new owner. (Oh the merciless nature of commerce.)
Our St. Laurent is earthy/leathery on the nose, with ripe pomegranate and a hint of blueberry on the palate. Smooth and dry.
